Mount Sinai (2285 m) also called "Moses Mountain", is next to Mount St. Catherine, at 2629 m, the tallest peak in Egypt. According to Jewish and Christian tradition this is the mountain where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Mount Sinai is one of the most important sacred places in the Abrahamic religions. Thousands of tourist and pilgrims visit the mountain top.
