The arctic fox is a critically endangered spieces in Scandinavia. There were maybe no more than 50 individuals left in Norway, a few more in Sweden, and almost none in Finland, when the norwegian government and scientists in 2005 started a breeding program with wild animals. In 2010 this was specialy successfull and 69 young ones was released in the wild. Supported with feeding. These pictures are from the breeding center, which is also far away in the mountains.
